Dual Enrollment



Dual Enrollment – Students must be completely enrolled and submit a written request with proof of eligibility (see below) prior to receipt of forms to be submitted to College.

  1. Eligibility
    1. Student must be enrolled in grades 9-12 and achieve a qualifying score in all applicable subject areas in the Michigan Merit Exam or another college-ready assessment such as Compass (offered at the college).
    2. Student must submit notification of enrollment, credits, and eligible charges prior to start of semester to Registrar.
  2. Course Options
  1. The postsecondary course(s) must be academic in nature or applicable to career preparation. The postsecondary course(s) must apply toward the satisfaction of certificate, degree, or program completion requirements, and may not be in the subject areas ophysical education, theology, divinity, or religious education. Hobbcraft and recreational courses are not eligible under the dual enrollment acts.
  2. Non-Public and Homeschool students may only receive high school credit for non essential elective courses.
  3. Students may take up to a total of 10 courses during the 4 years of high school enrollment. See table below

*Pupils that first enroll in postsecondary courses in grade 11 may enroll in up to 6 courses during the 11th grade, with an overall

limit of 10 courses.
